Each instructor has been selected based on their extensive depth of knowledge, experience and current level of activity to ensure that course materials will be rigorous and up-to-date.
Prof. David Berube

David M. Berube has been a PI or CoPI on four NSF societal and ethical grants totaling nearly $4 million. He has published dozens of articles in argumentation and in nano-science and technology risk and policy studies. He has written two books including NANOHYPE: BEYOND THE NANOTECHNOLOGY BUZZ 2006. He has degrees in psychology, biology, and communication, is a full professor in USC's graduate school, a member of the NanoCenter, and the government and industrial coordinator in the nanoScience and Technology Studies program. He teaches undergraduate courses in introduction to nanoscience and science advocacy and graduate courses in risk communication and arguments in science and technology. He has won numerous teaching awards.
